On Wednesday February 6th, 2019 the Edwin O. Reischauer Center for East Asian Studies welcomed Dr. Jae-Seung Lee, the Jean Monnet Chair of International Studies at Korea University, to discuss the utility and limitation of multilateralism in peace-building initiatives on the Korean peninsula.
Titled “Does Multilateralism Matter?” Dr. Lee’s seminar discussed the future of Korea’s denuclearization and the prospects of détente in relation to stakeholders such as the EU and international institutions. Questions fielded from the audience surrounded the future of multilateralism on the Korean peninsula.
