On February 10th, the Reischauer Center held an event on Opportunities and Cooperation in Space Sustainability: US-Japan Relations and Beyond.
We invited two SAIS professors, Dr. Svetla Ben-Itzhak and Dr. Namrata Goswami, as well as Mr. Kenta Tsuchiya, Deputy Director of JAXA Washington DC, for a fruitful discussion on issues such as sustainable space safety, the dangers of uncontrolled debris, and how international cooperation is key to space development. Please look forward to Chelsea Suzuko Uchida Wells and Tatsuya Sugiyama monograph analyzing US-Japan space debris policy and business efforts!
