On May 5th, Reischauer Center Policy Research Fellows and a group of SAIS graduate students focused on Japan Studies had the opportunity to participate in a dialogue with Professor Nobukatsu Kanehara, who was visiting with a delegation from Sasakawa Peace Foundation USA.
Professor Kanehara was Assistant Chief Cabinet Secretary to Prime Minister Shinzo Abe and is an expert on Japan’s national security. During the dialogue, Professor Kanehara discussed and exchanged opinions with the fellows and students about various topics impacting contemporary Japanese politics and security along with the greater Indo-Pacific region.
Thank you to Professor Kanehara and the Sasakawa Peace Foundation USA for this opportunity!
