On Tuesday, November 26, 2019 the Embassy of Hungary in Tokyo / Magyarország Tokiói Nagykövetsége hosted a publication party for Dr. Calder’s latest book, “Super Continent: The Logic of Eurasian Integration.”
The event was held in cooperation with Hungarian Ambassador to Japan Norbert Palanovics. The event was especially timely given that the year marks the 150th anniversary of Japan-Hungarian relations. Furthermore, the deepening ties between Japan and the Eurasian continent makes Japan’s proactive involvement with Eurasia ever more vital in years to come. In addition to Ambassador Palanovics, in attendance was former Prime Minister Yasuo Fukuda, House of Representatives member Shinichi Isa (SAIS alum), President of Usio Publication Shinzo Minami, and Director-General of METI Trade and Economic Cooperation Bureau Noshi Hirose.
